Overview
The RPYC Steel Orchestra was established in July 2006. The orchestra was founded upon receiving an award from the IDB Cultural Fund. The award provided a gate way to foster growth, youth development and cultural literacy through the national instrument.
The Steel Orchestra has acted and continues to act as a proactive agent in the fight against crime, providing a co-curricular activity where the youth population can utilize their leisure time wisely.
This initiative would also enable youth to develop high self esteem thus preparing them for their emergence in the competitive world as well as develop their talents and skills.
