Collis Hazel is a prominent figure in law enforcement, having ascended from humble beginnings to serve as the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service. His journey began with an entrepreneurial venture selling homegrown fruits, which not only supplemented his family’s income but also ingrained in him a deep understanding of community needs and the vital role of service.

Where he allows his staff, clients and all persons in need the opportunity to attain mutual success and progress as he opens opportunities and provisions for young people to gain a skill and several skillsets via his Police Youth Club, the Roxborough Police Youth Club. Here he also avails the opportunity for the young, mature, studying and professional beneficiaries to miscegenate knowledge, experience and creativity to create zealous products and outcomes. This is done so that continuous learning can be sustained whilst attaining to the social, economic, and environmental needs in his community and country.  

A passionate advocate for youth and community development, Hazel's infectious enthusiasm and persuasive communication skills have inspired countless individuals. His commitment is strengthened by a solid academic foundation, holding a Master of Science in Project Management and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Social Work from the University of the West Indies. His expertise is further enhanced by Certificates in Youth Work and Events Management from George Washington University, Philanthropic Leadership Certificate from Professional from Pan African Leadership Institute.

Among his honours are the Public Service Medal of Merit (Silver), the Prime Minister's Award for Community Service, and the Tobago House of Assembly Leadership Award. He has also received the National Youth Award, the UWI Criminal Justice Motorola and Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police Community Policing Award, New York Senate Youth Development Award and numerous others recognising his transformative contributions to youth engagement and community development.
