RPYC Dance Company

About Us

Members of this company are exposed to rigorous training sessions under the artistic directorship of a renounced dancer.

The Tobago House of Assembly Division of Culture, provides tutor support to the company with practice sessions on Mondays and Saturdays (schedule changes often happens, this is noted in the RPYC Dance group chat).

Dance Company's Structure 

The RPYC Dance Company operates with a two tiered structure:-

1) The Jewels: This segment caters to young members aged 5-10, providing them with foundational training and an introduction to the world of dance.

2) The Performing Company: Comprising members who are actively learning art form, this tier is reserved for individuals who have achieved a high standard of proficiency in specific dances. It represents the pinnacle of skill and dedication within the Dance Company.

Dance takes place under the tutorage of Ms. Karen Berkley & is under the supervision of Ms Krystle Bascombe.

                                         Members of the Dance Company are exposed to training in the following: 

-Pique                    -Bongo              -Congo                   -Calypso                         -Reel        

       -Limbo                    -Bamboo                    -Maypole                        -Fisher Folk
